from the grill to your tables.

Why Plus258 for your wedding

Authentic, unforgettable, and never the standard option

Most wedding caterers in the Eindhoven region offer the same shortlist of buffet classics. Plus258 isn't that. We cook Mozambican & Portuguese food on real fire — a cuisine guests rarely encounter at a wedding, but instantly recognise as celebratory: flame-grilled meats, smoky charcoal aromas, vivid piri-piri marinades, generous sharing plates that turn strangers at a table into friends by the second course.

We cater weddings of 20 to 250 guests across Eindhoven, Best, Son en Breugel, Nuenen, Helmond, Waalre, Aalst and Veldhoven. Every wedding includes a personal tasting with Gabriella before you confirm the final menu, full delivery and set-up on the day, and the option of serving staff so you can be a guest at your own wedding.

The wedding day

What we handle, end to end

You should be drinking champagne with your aunt, not directing the kitchen. Here's how the day works on our side of it.

01

Arrival & set-up

We arrive 3–4 hours before service to set up the kitchen area, light the grills, plate the canapés and brief any venue staff we're working with.

02

Welcome & canapés

Hot samosas, golden rissóis and chilled drinks ready the moment your first guests arrive — usually during the photo session.

03

The main service

Flame-grilling on site whenever the venue allows — the smoke, the colour and the smell are part of the experience. Plated, served or sharing — whichever you chose.

04

Dessert & late-night

Dessert table set up during the speeches. Late-night samosa platters as the dancefloor fills, if you've added them.

05

Clean-up

We leave the venue cleaner than we found it. The deposit you paid the venue is yours to keep.

06

The morning after

One follow-up message — to check the leftovers reached the right people, and to thank you. That's it.

Before you confirm

The tasting — never a leap of faith

A wedding is not a meal you can re-do if it doesn't land. So before you confirm a booking with Plus258, we sit down together for a tasting: the dishes we've proposed for your menu, prepared by Gabriella, talked through one by one. Spice levels, portion sizes, which sides work next to which mains, what your gluten-free aunt will actually want to eat — we settle it all at the tasting, not at the wedding.

Tastings happen in our kitchen in Son. There's no cost for the tasting itself if you confirm the booking afterwards; if you decide we're not the right fit, we charge only the cost of ingredients.

Pricing

What weddings actually cost

Wedding catering quotes depend on six things: guest count, menu, service format, staff, venue, and add-ons. Here's how the numbers usually shake out so you can sanity-check before we send a proposal.

  • Per-person food: €30–50 depending on menu and format
  • Serving staff: €40–55 per hour per server, scaled to guest count
  • Equipment hire: from €5 per head if you need plates/cutlery/linens we arrange
  • Late-night snacks: from €6 per head as an add-on
  • Travel: included within the eight service-area municipalities; further afield quoted separately
  • Deposit: typically 25% to confirm; balance two weeks before the date

The quote we send breaks every line out separately so you can adjust format, staff or add-ons up or down. We'd rather you go in with eyes open than over-quote and lose the booking.

Wedding catering FAQ

How far in advance should we book wedding catering?

For peak season (May–September) and Saturday weddings, six to nine months ahead is normal — we typically take on a limited number of weddings per month so the kitchen can focus on each one. Off-season and weekday weddings can often be arranged with less notice.

Do you offer a tasting before we book?

Yes. After we send a tailored menu proposal, you and your partner are welcome to come in for a tasting. It's the best way to settle the final menu — and to meet Gabriella before the day.

Can you handle sit-down dinners as well as sharing or buffet?

Yes — we cater plated sit-down dinners, sharing-style tables (very popular for Mozambican & Portuguese menus) and full buffets. We'll suggest the format that fits your guest count, venue and tone.

What's typically included in the per-person price?

Delivery, setup and clean-up are always included. Serving staff are usually optional — we'll cost both options so you can choose. Equipment hire (plates, cutlery, linens) and bar service are not included by default but we can arrange them on request.

Can you cater for dietary requirements at scale?

Yes. Mozambican cuisine is naturally varied, so vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free and allergen-aware menus can all be built in. Send us the RSVP details with dietary notes and we'll plan the kitchen accordingly.

Do you cater for children at weddings?

Yes — we offer a milder kids' menu (less piri-piri) on request, priced at a reduced per-head rate. Tell us the children's ages when booking.

Can you provide late-night snacks?

Yes. Hot samosa and rissol platters are a popular late-night option after the dancing starts — easy to eat, satisfying after a few drinks, and quick to serve. Quoted as an add-on.

What's your cancellation policy for weddings?

Wedding bookings are confirmed by a deposit, balance due close to the date. Changes or full cancellation are accommodated up to two months before — closer to the date, deposit terms apply. Full terms are in the quote.
